Book Leatrice De Bruhl to speak
Motivational and inspirational talks rooted in faith and in a life that has been through the fire. Conferences, women’s events, church services, community programs, panels, podcasts and media.
Not a lecture. A testimony with a point.
Leatrice speaks from the inside of the things most speakers describe from the outside. In her own telling, she survived abuse, built a career that was then clouded by suspicion and unjust accusations, faced relentless public scrutiny, served a season of incarceration, and then lost her son, Malik, known as Leek. Through all of it she wrestled with the question many people carry quietly: where is God in the middle of suffering?
Her talks are the answer she found. They are honest about the valley, specific about what faith looked like inside it, and practical about how a person gets up, carries what cannot be put down, and walks toward purpose anyway.
- Faith-based, and welcomed in both church and secular rooms
- Inspirational storytelling, not theory
- Mental health and grief spoken about without stigma
- Women’s empowerment that starts with the truth
- Featured in HEIDENS Magazine (issue 41, July 2025) as an inspirational speaker, and on two HOINSER covers
Talks Leatrice is asked for
Every engagement is shaped to the room. These are the threads her talks are usually built on; tell us which one your audience needs, or describe the event and let her propose one.
- Craziness Faith
- The faith that looks impossible to the world, and why it is sometimes the only kind that carries you through. Built on her book of the same name.
- Grace to Grieve
- What grief actually asks of a person, how to carry it with grace instead of being consumed by it, and how a grieving mother keeps living. For audiences touched by loss.
- From wounds to wisdom
- Turning pain into purpose and loss into legacy: the rebuilding years, told honestly. The theme of her chapter, “Scars That Speak of Strength,” in In the Pursuit of Fearless Living.
- Blessed Like A Queen in Everyway
- For women’s events: identity, worth and calling for women who have been told, by circumstance or by people, that they are less than they are.
- When silence breaks, healing begins
- On stopping the hiding and writing your truth. Mental health, stigma, and the freedom on the other side of saying it out loud.
- Walking with God through the fire
- “When you walk with God, fire cannot destroy you. It can only purify you.” Faith under scrutiny, injustice and loss.
When you walk with God, fire cannot destroy you. It can only purify you.Leatrice De Bruhl, In the Pursuit of Fearless Living
